Paper Quotes First SMSU Culinology Graduate

A recent article in The Independent quoted the first graduate of the Culinology program at Southwest Minnesota State University. The school’s commencement was last Saturday.

In the article, Amy Blum mentions that she already has employment secured—as the first culinologist hired by UniPro Foodservice, Inc., Atlanta—and comments on the quality of her education while at SMSU.

“It’s definitely exciting ... It’s a big move for me,” says Blum in the article, noting that during her education at SMSU, “we did a lot of professional networking, and we had a lot of ‘real world’ classes. I liked that.”
